Keith Galbraith is leading this hike on west Paul Lake trail to Gibraltar Rock. It is an easy to moderate hike. One half of the hike is flat, along the lakeshore and the other half is inclined to the summit. The trail is well established. The views along the lake and from the summit are picturesque and stunning. The hiking time is about 1.5 to 2 hours return. (Those hikers who do not want to hike the inclined portion can return to the parking lot, at the halfway point.)
To get to the trailhead, drive to Paul Lake, taking the Paul Lake/Harper Mtn Rd. When you reach the lake, you will see a strata complex. Park in the lot across the road from the strata mailboxes. The hike will start at 10:00 am, rain or shine. See you there.
